My First 30 Days as a Recruitment Specialist at Logic
When starting my career in Human Resources, I received valuable advice that has been instrumental in my professional growth. I was advised against immediately selecting a specific core function within Human Resources to specialize in right from the beginning.
As a Human Resources Generalist, I was able to explore all Human Resources functions rather than streamlining myself to a specific function. This included recruiting, training and development, employee engagement, employee relations, performance management, and benefits. Having experience in all these functions exposed me to the dynamics of the entire Human Resources package.
As I advanced in my career, I realized that I wanted to specialize in recruitment which is what led me to where I am today. A little over a month ago, I started working at Logic as a Recruitment Specialist. I was eager to jump in and make a positive impact, but at the same time, I knew that there would be a learning curve as I navigated the world of recruitment.
From day one, I was welcomed by my colleagues, and they have been instrumental in guiding me through the recruitment process. Their support and guidance helped me feel more confident in my abilities and set me up for success in my new role.
As a recruiter, I quickly learned that building strong relationships with both candidates and clients is essential for success. During my first month, I focused on reaching out to potential candidates, understanding their skills and experiences, and getting to know what they were looking for in their next career move. I also worked closely with clients to grasp their hiring needs and preferences, ensuring that I could effectively match them with the right candidates.
One of the most gratifying aspects of my job has been seeing the direct impact I can have on people’s lives. Whether it’s helping a candidate land their dream job or assisting a client in finding the perfect candidate for their team, the sense of fulfillment is truly rewarding.
While there have been challenges along the way, such as sourcing top talent in a competitive market and navigating the complexities of the recruitment process, I have embraced these obstacles as opportunities for growth and learning. With the support of my colleagues and the resources provided by Logic, I feel equipped to overcome any challenges that may arise.
As I reflect on my first month at Logic, I am excited about the potential for growth and the chance to further develop as a recruiter. Building upon the relationships I’ve established with candidates and clients; I am eager to continue making a positive impact in the world of recruitment. My experience this far has been incredibly rewarding and I am looking forward to the new challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
